Casino Guru, the world’s biggest database of online casinos and a source of verified information about online gambling, has recently promoted Šimon Vincze to the position of Sustainable and Safer Gambling Lead.
With several years of experience in project and event management from other companies, Vincze joined the Casino Guru team back in the summer of 2020. He took charge of the team’s most ambitious responsible gambling project, the Global Self-Exclusion Initiative, which aims to create the first global self-exclusion system to improve the safety of players all around the world. He also assumed control over Casino Guru Academy, the company’s platform with free educational courses for gambling industry professionals.
Vincze commented on his early days at Casino Guru and progress so far, “Joining the Casino Guru team was a leap in the dark and a great challenge for me. Ever since I joined, I’ve been taking on more and more responsibilities and working towards our goal of improving online gambling for everyone. Thanks to valuable feedback from industry professionals and advancements in responsible gambling, we now know how to reach this goal better than ever before.”
He added, “I am grateful for the opportunity to be involved in making gambling safer and excited to see the future impact of our endeavors. I am also thankful for becoming a part of such a great team, as well as meeting many inspiring professionals at industry events and conferences.”
The new position of Sustainable and Safer Gambling Lead reflects Vincze’s new responsibilities, as well as the growing importance of sustainable gambling for Casino Guru and the entire gambling industry. This includes reflecting operators’ responsible gambling tools in Casino Guru’s reviews and making sure that safer gambling best practices are applied in anything the team does.
At the moment, Vincze and his growing team are busy with new projects and preparation for ICE London 2022, where they will represent the Global Self-Exclusion Initiative and raise awareness of the issues it addresses. A major part of these efforts revolves around releasing a blue paper detailing a proposed implementation of a global self-exclusion system and creating a unique tool that will guide vulnerable players through self-excluding from their existing gambling accounts. In these projects, Vincze leads a team of programmers, designers, content specialists, and other team members.
Vincze shared his excitement about recent progress and new challenges, “There is an exciting journey ahead of us, and I cannot wait to see our projects improved and developed throughout the year. Apart from the Initiative, I also focus on connecting problem gambling help organizations with players who need their help. We are working on the first global database of these organizations to help struggling individuals find professional help quickly and effectively.”
Vincze’s recent promotion is part of Casino Guru’s growth in all aspects. Besides the advancements in his team, Casino Guru is expanding efforts in areas and constantly looking for new talent to increase the scope of their projects, further improve the quality of products and services offered to visitors, and increase the positive impact on the gambling industry and player safety.
