Power affiliate QiH Group appoints new COO and CMO to London HQ leadership team
David Murphy joins QiH, bringing 25+ years of experience from the likes of Gamesys and Gala Coral Group – and Andrew Lee moves internally from group operations director to the newly created post of COO
One of betting and gaming’s best-known power affiliate businesses, QiH Group, has announced the next steps in its ambitious, four-year growth plan: the business will welcome David Murphy as the company’s first-ever CMO and secondly, will promote Andrew Lee – who’s been with the company since its inception – to the newly created role of COO.
Both the new hire and the internal promotion are part of an ambitious growth strategy for QiH, a key part of which is bringing a C-suite layer of management to its London HQ to solidify its operational capabilities.
Murphy’s new responsibilities will be to head up double digit growth through marketing channels and commercial relationships, as well as improving on the current team’s capabilities, driving revenue and profit across all marketing avenues.
Lee will use his decade of experience with QiH to take up the mantle of COO, overseeing all operational departments, overseeing revenue growth, managing systems and compliance strategy as well as the company’s partnerships.
Jamie Walters, QIH Group’s CEO, said that the rapid growth of the company has necessitated this next level of growth: “As the company saw a 75% increase in both revenue and profit in FY2023 and is on track for a repeat of that this year, it’s vital that we have this level of experience to lead the team alongside me. David’s knowledge of the betting and gaming sector and Andrew’s knowledge of QiH’s operational excellence as well as what our partners need will bring a wonderful combination to our existing team – and there’s more to come!”
Speaking about why he chose QIH, Murphy said: “QiH Group has been making major waves in the industry in the past few years, and seeing the growth and leadership made it a really attractive next step in my career. I can’t wait to bring my expertise in the iGaming sector to QiH, helping develop and motivate a fantastic marketing team to bring this power affiliate to its goal of becoming the UK’s most widely known affiliate in online betting and gaming.”
Lee said: “I look forward to using the experiences of the past decade at QiH to continue to drive operational excellence to deliver on our strategic growth plans. With our talented team and strong foundations, we’re well-positioned to continue building on our success.”
